The Bachelor in Cosmetic Science (Honours) programme at Lincoln University College, Malaysia, is the first bachelor’s degree program in Malaysia focused on the scientific aspects of cosmetics, skincare, and personal care products. Students are trained in industry oriented and equipped with psychomotor, cognitive, and adaptive skills for the development of cosmetic products and services with work-based industry learning.

i. A Diploma in Cosmetics / Diploma in Pharmacy (Level 4 Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF) with Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.50 and above; OR

ii. A Diploma in Health Science (Level 4, MQF) with CGPA 2.75 and above; OR

iii. Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with at least Grade C (GP 2.00) in Chemistry / Biology and Mathematics; OR

iv. Matriculation or Foundation with at least Grade C in Chemistry / Biology and Mathematics; OR

v. A Diploma (Level 4, MQF) with CGPA of less than 2.75 and a minimum of 3 years working experience in the related field; OR

vi. Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.

For International Students:
ENGLISH COMPETENCY REQUIREMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENT
Achieve a minimum Band 3 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) OR equivalent to Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) (Low B2)*.

Passing of Final examinations for all applicable courses with the approved weightage

Project Module 

Successful completion of the Dissertation and related tasks, demonstrating application of cosmetic science knowledge and research skills, including:

•      Project proposal and literature review 

•      Research execution (data collection/analysis or formulation

outcomes)            

•      Final report and presentation

Industrial Training 

Successful completion of Industrial Training I & II placements and Industry Project, demonstrating application of theoretical knowledge and professional skills in real industry settings, including:

•  Approved industrial placement                

•  Defined training objectives and scope of work 

•  Supervised practical work and skill development              

•  Periodic progress reporting / logbook 

•  Industrial training report and presentation         

•  Employer and academic supervisor evaluation

 

Academic Standing

Students must successfully complete all coursework modules and the capstone project, with no outstanding assessments, incomplete grades, or failed courses in their academic record at the time of graduation approval.

Final Approval

Endorsement by the School, Academic Committees, and approval by the Lincoln University College Senate
