Programme Overview

The program, Doctor of Philosophy in Education with Lincoln University College (LUC) is designed for eminent academic training for professional preparation and research in the sphere of education. For successful completion of PhD degree in LUC, each candidate should publish minimum of Four research articles in scopus indexed journals, with Lincoln University College affiliation.

Entry Requirements:

  1. Master’s Degree (Level 7, Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF) education field; Or
  2. Master’s Degree (Level 7, MQF) in the relevant field approved by the Senate; Or
  3. Other qualifications equivalent to a Master’s Degree (Level 7, MQF) approved by the Senate.

English Proficiency for International Students:

Minimum Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 550 or 80 (Internet) or minimum International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0 or its equivalent.

Industrial focus:

Our emphasis on practical learning will ensure that you are well prepared for a career as an effective network security professional. The Program validates the ability to install,operate and troubleshoot a small enterprise branch network, including basic network security. The curriculum covers networking fundamentals, WAN technologies,basic security and wireless concepts, routing and switching fundamentals, and configuring simple networks, medium-size enterprise branch networks with more complex connections. The course will provide a practical hands-on Cisco Routers and Cisco Switches, as no WAN setup is complete without Leased Line/ Wireless / VSAT / DSL etc., and Telecom devices like CSU / DSU, Telco MUX will also be covered in the Practical setup.The training will be provided by Senior Network/ WAN engineers with several years of field experience. The Program is also appropriate for those who are ready to advance their skills and work independently on complex network solutions. The course covers topics like EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, IPv6, VPNs, L2 / L3 Switching, VLAN, VTP, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, VOIP, Wireless, Troubleshooting methods Network & Operating System Essentials, LDAP, Active Directory functionality, Installing, Configuring &Administering the following Microsoft Servers, Microsoft Windows 2008 Server, IS 7.0, DHCP, DNS, RAS, VPN Advanced Terminal Services, T.S Web Access Administration, Remote Apps. Etc. Configuring Read-Only Domain Controller.
