PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

BA (Hons) in Creative Multimedia Technology* KPT/JPS(PA 11223)

BA (Hons) in Creative Multimedia Technology has been designed for those, who inspire to be professional artists in the IT industry or multimedia industry. This program helps the students to learn about the theories and technologies and their practical application to the emerging industry trends. An important feature is practical problem solving in multidisciplinary scenarios with the help of modern technologies.

Developed in consultation with industry professionals, this degree will provide students with the necessary experience and skills to create meaningful interfaces and exciting interactive solutions to enhance and improve the digital media user experience. Human interaction methods, screen and display user interfaces, audio and video, 3D and 2D, are only few of the areas, investigated during this program study.

The primary aims of the programme are:

  1. To provide creative and entrepreneurial skills required to pioneer and enhance the design of our increasingly digital world
  2. To encourage exploration through problem solving methodologies, innovative investigations and creative research in all forms of communication. The program is dedicated to excellence in teaching, academics as well as creative research and professional practice.
  3. This program focuses on the creative and intellectual thinking and also educates the graphic designers about the integration of new technology and ethical implications.

The Bachelor of Education (Teaching of English as Second Language -TESL) is in high demand for employers in a variety of industries. It provides students with thorough knowledge of Education by equipping the students with a detailed understanding and skill that is applicable to the workplace and beneficial to the graduate. Possible career options are:

· Animator.
· Graphic Designer.
· 3D specialist.
· Multimedia Interactive Engineer.
· Special Effects Engineer (Specialist).
· Multimedia Director.

Entry Requirements :

  1. Passed the Malaysian High School Certificate (STPM) or equivalent with at least Grade C (NGMP 2.0) in 2 subjects; Or
  2. Passed the Malaysian Higher Certificate of Religion (STAM) with at least the rank of Jayyid; Or
  3. Passed the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with at least B grade in 5 subjects; Or
  4. Passed Matriculation / Foundation / Foundation from any IPTA / IPTS / Institution which is allowed to offer foundation program with CGPA 2.00; Or
  5. Creative Multimedia Diploma (Level 4, MOH) with at least CGPA 2.5 (candidates who earn CGPA of below 2.5 but exceeding 2.0 are acceptable subject to in-process); Or
  6. Other qualifications recognized as equivalent to it by the Government of Malaysia.
