DIPLOMA IN NURSING (MQA /PA 7151)
Fees Structure- Local and International

The Lincoln School of Nursing was established in 2006 to cater to a rapidly increasing need for quality Nursing care and skilled Nurses worldwide.

VISION & MISSION
Lincoln College aims to fill a growing regional void which exists for knowledgeable, skilled and adaptable Nurses who are proactive and equipped for competitive employment in challenging and sophisticated healthcare environments.

We take seriously the mission entrusted to us by the Malaysian Ministry of Health, to assist in augmenting the nation’s Nursing resources. This is achieved through our comprehensive academic program and efficient student support. Our Nursing graduates reap the benefits of a rich curriculum which integrates Biology and the Allied Sciences, Psychology & Sociology, Pharmacology, and Clinicals.

Lincoln College ’s Diploma in Nursing is approved by the Ministry of Higher Education, National Accreditation Board (LAN) and the Nursing Board of Malaysia.

Students will have the opportunity to enrich their knowledge and practical skills in hospitals and health centres, in collaboration and cooperation with Government and private health sectors.

Students majoring in Nursing will have to pay enrolment fees, cost of books, uniform, liability, insurance, immunisation and physical examinations. In addition, they will incur transportation expenses to and from hospital/clinics.

Senior academic staff are always available and willing to discuss and assist in matters relating to student welfare, special needs, and other pertinent matters. Furthermore, student leaders and their associations work closely with the College to enhance these services.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES/OBJECTIVES
Since the advent of modern Nursing education, the profession has developed its own career pathways, today leading from the Diploma In Nursing to the PhD in Nursing. Career opportunities are extensive and borderless, and Graduate Nurses are in demand across every continent in the world.

The program at Lincoln College prepares students to be competent and caring Nurses who will be able to function independently, and practice in a safe and responsible manner. Upon graduation, registered Nurses will find employment in both Government and private hospitals, health clinics and other healthcare agencies.

Additionally, the program enables students to develop specialised knowledge and practical skills, while giving them the opportunity to exhibit leadership abilities in healthcare management, utilising their acquired abilities to initiate effective change whenever necessary.

Duration - 3 Years

Mode of Study - Full-time

All Nursing Students must meet graduation requirements for the Nursing Diploma, which is obtained by completing the prerequisite listed courses, plus meeting the general education requirements.

Baccalaureate Degree
Since various Schools of Nursing change their prerequisites and admissions procedures, it is important that Nursing students who are contemplating transfer to a 4-year institution consult with a Counselor as early as possible.

Diploma with Malaysian Nursing Board Registration
Students are required to pass the Malaysian Nursing Board Examination, which is conducted twice a year in June and November. Upon clearing the examination, students will be able to apply to the Malaysian Nursing Board. Following successful registration, they will be able to work both locally and internationally.
