Certificate in Food & Beverage Service

 

The qualification in Food & Beverage Service is a highly respected qualification for people in the Hotel & Food Service Industry. This qualification is awarded by Lincoln College.

 Course Objectives

The objectives of the Certificate in Food & Beverage Service are to enable employees to acquire broad overall knowledge of personal skills, including how to work with customers, menu knowledge, provide table service, thus providing employees with a strong base for career development.

 Entry Requirements
* Must have at least a Sijil Perlajaran Malaysia (SPM) qualification with a good command of the English Language both written and spoken. Prospective students who do not meet this entry requirement may be considered through in interview.

 Course Duration
* The duration of the program is 4 months of study on a part-time basis.

 Course Fees
* The course fees for the whole program is Malaysian Ringgit 3,750.00. This excludes a one time registration and examination fee. Foreign students need to apply for a student visa, a visa fee will be applicable. Course fees are payable in easy installments.

 Course Content
* Providing food & beverage service.

* Safety and hygiene at work.

* Security at work.

* Personal skills, including how to work with customers.

* Menu knowledge.

* General billing procedures, handling payment.

* Preparing service areas and tables.

Course Tutors
* The certificate will be taught and facilitated by very experienced resource personnel who have gained considerable experience in the industry.

Award
* Successful participants will be awarded the Lincoln College Certificate in Food & Beverage Service.
