1) What is the minimum qualification required for admission into Lincoln College?
The minimum qualification accepted is “SPM / O Levels. / High School. or 10 + 2

 2) What are the courses of study available in Lincoln College?

 Yes. The Approval number is: KP (JPS) 5195/ IPTS/ 1222/ jld 11 (4)

4) Are the courses approved by the National Accreditation Board? (LAN)
Yes, all courses are approved by the National Accreditation Board of Malaysia.

5) Where is Lincoln College situated?
Address: 76 G,Jalan SS 21/62 Damansara Utama, Darul Ehsan Petaling Jaya, 47400, Malaysia

Lincoln College is located at Damansara Utama. It is 70 kms away from the airport (28 minutes), It takes 20-25 minutes by LRT going to KLCC or in KL (Kuala Lumpur). 45 minutes by Bus.

 6)  Is Public transport readily available?
The bus stop is in front of the college. There is a regular and frequent bus service (feeder services) from the bus stop to the nearest LRT station (Light Rail Transport) (Taman Bahagia and Kelana Jaya ) . It takes 10 to 15 minutes to LRT station from the College

7) What are the documents needed to enroll in the college? (Applicable for foreign Students only)
A) Photocopy of Passport (From Page 1 to last page) = All pages (including blank pages) 3 sets
B) Color Photographs (6 copies). Please write your name, passport number and nationality behind the photographs
C) Certified true copy of your educational qualifications and all other supporting documents.
D)    If you stop or have gap in your study in a year or more, please specify the reason why. 

8) Do I need to pay any fees before I come in Malaysia?
Yes. You may have to pay an application fee of USD 150 / RM 800

9) How do I pay this amount?
You can pay by bank draft in favor of   LINCOLN COLLEGE Please write down your name, passport number and nationality behind the bank draft. You can also pay by telegraphic transfer as per bank details:

10) Can I submit my application form without application fees?
 You can submit the application but will not be processed without payment.

 11)  To whom do I send these payments?
You can send it directly to the College address or personally make payment to the nearest counseling office of the college

 12)  How long does it take to get my visa approved?
It takes 4 to 5 weeks, depending on the circumstances.

 13) Do I have to apply for interview at the Malaysian Embassy in my home country?
No, you do not have to go to Malaysian Embassy for visa interview

 14)  How I am going to get my visa?
 Lincoln College will get the visa approval from Malaysia and will send it to you directly or to our counselor's office

15)  Do I need to get visa stamp from Malaysian Embassy in my Country?
Normally the visa approval paper is enough. However certain country like China etc… need visa stamp from the Embassy. Please check with your counselor or Embassy.

 16) If I get the visa stamp in my countries, do I still need to get my student visa stamp in Malaysia?
The visa stamp (from your country) which you will get in your country is an entry visa. Once you clear Malaysian Immigration at the airport, college will take your passport and will send it to Immigration office for student visa stamping.  This process takes at least one month to two months.

 1 7) When I arrive in Malaysia who will receive me at the airport?
The college representative will be at the airport to receive and to help you clear in the immigration.Without college representative you are not allowed to enter Malaysia.

 18) How do I recognize the college representative?
The college representative will hold a “LINCOLN COLLEGE” Poster

19)  Where will he and or she wait at the airport?
The moment you approach the immigration counter, the college representative will be there waiting for you before the immigration counter.          

20) How will the college know when I am coming to Malaysia?
You have to inform the college at least 3 days in advance before your arrival. You can inform your counselor but make sure your counselor know at least 5 days in advance  

21) What is the local time and weather in Kuala Lumpur?

 22) What are the materials to bring along with me?
two sets of bed sheets, two sets of pillow covers, your clothes , towels, personal toiletries, your personal medicine , your study materials , a folding umbrella  , a locker/padlock ( to lock your bag) , your mobile phone set  ( if you have ) .  

 23) What kind of accommodation available under the college?
There are two types of accommodation
a) Condominium     (b) Apartment  

a) What is condominium all about?
The condominium has 24 hours security, swimming pool, gymnasium, kitchen, lift services

b) What is apartment all about?
No security, no swimming pool, no gymnasium, .However kitchen and lift services are there

c) What is the distance between hostel and the college?
It is only 10 to 15 minutes walking distance

d) Can I cook in the apartment / condominium?
Yes you can cook but you need to have your own cooking utensils

e) How much does it cost to cook?
 According to the existing students, every month would cost you RM 70 to 100 (for lunch and dinner)

 f) How much would cost if I want to eat in a restaurant?
Vegetarian meal  RM 3 to RM 3. 5
Non Vegetarian   RM 4 to RM 5

g)  Are Restaurants open   for 24 hours?
Yes, there are a number of restaurant around the college and hostel are open for 24 hours

 a) When do I have to pay my first year fees?
You pay only when you get your visa approval. But you must pay before your arrival in Malaysia

b) Can I pay my first year fees by Installment?
No. International students must pay first year fees in full.

 c) Can I pay my second year fees by Installment?
 Yes you can pay fees by semester wise 

d) How many semesters in a year?
3 semesters in a year (except Diploma in Nursing). Diploma in nursing (two semesters in a year)

 e) What is the meaning of semester?
One semester = 14 weeks lecture, one week examination and two weeks holiday (except nursing)
Nursing: one semester – six months

 25)  What is the class time ?
Normally, Monday through Friday from 8. 30 am to 2. 30 pm except Diploma in Nursing classes.

 26) Can I transfer my credits from Lincoln College Malaysia to other countries?
Yes you can transfer your credits to America, Australia, London / UK, New Zealand, Canada, and other European countries

 27) Will college help me to transfer my credits?
Yes college will process your documents and will help you to transfer your credits

 28) When can I open my bank account in Malaysia?
You can open your bank account after stamping visa on your passport.  It will take at least one to two months.

 29) Where can I change my money?
There is a money changer near to the college where you can change your money

 30) What are the banks nearest in the college area?

Duration of Diploma is 28 months.

33) What is the equivalent of Diploma?
Equivalent of Diploma is Year one (1) and Year two (2) of Bachelor Degree

34) After Diploma What I can do ?

Option 1
After diploma , you can work in day time and study in the evening

Option 2
You can continue to study for 18 months for your final year degree and get Bachelor degree in Malaysia

Option 3
You can transfer your diploma ( 90 credits ) to USA, UK , Australia and or New Zeland for final year Bachelor Degree.

Option 4
You can work for few years and then study for final year.
