Today, the technological advances in Electronics – a field of study within the realm of Science and Technology that deals with the use and design of electrical devices - have become indispensable to our lives.We start the day and ends it using a variety of appliances and gadgets –from the television and CD players to the mobile phones and personal computers. Electronics define comfort, convenience and efficiency in modern living. The clout of Electronics is far and wide, and its utilization stretches to personal, commercial, industrial, and scientific spheres, thus making it a challenging and rewarding field to explore. The Engineering Department of Electrical and Electronics Technology offers a 28-month Diploma programme in Electrical and Electronics Technology designed to train students with technical aptitude and skills required for the fields of electrical and electronics. The programme provides a well-balanced mix of courses in electrical, electronics and computer hardware technology, and also provides expert training in electrical installation
