Programme Description

The BSc (Hons) in Contemporary Healthcare pathway is designed to meet the educational needs of a wide range of health care professionals as it considers the diversity of human experience of health and illness from a wide variety of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary perspectives. Consisting of 5 modules in total, delivered in two blocks per year over two years, the programme critically examines health and illness and seeks to analyse evidence about health and illness in a wide range of contexts and perspectives.

Programme Benefits

Upon completion, students will not only have a comprehensive knowledge of contemporary health issues, both globally and nationally, but also an understanding of how to plan and implement research based health improvement initiatives for individuals, groups or communities within Malaysia. They will acquire the knowledge of the diversity of human experience and illness from a wide variety of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary perspectives in order to enhance professional performance.

The programme aims to develop intellectual and practice skills in order to enhance your performance as a healthcare professional and improve the effectiveness of care you give to patients and their families/carers.

Entry Requirements

a) STPM or SPM and Foundation in Science or
b) Diploma in Nursing or Diploma in Physiotherapy or Diploma in Pharmacy or Diploma in Medical Lab Technology or Diploma in Medical Assistant
c) Any other recognised diploma of allied health science from a reputable university or college or true – certified by the senate of Lincoln University College.
